Wind blows away most of Buffaloes’ Tuesday schedule

If it’s not cold and wintry conditions in early spring, it might just be the wind that wreaks havoc with the high school spring sports schedules.Such was the case on Tuesday when high wind warnings and red flag (fire warnings) were issued across western Kansas.Steady gusts of 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60-plus mph were in the forecast for all day, with those winds starting early in the morning.Garden City High School administrators announced late in the morning that the softball and baseball games at Liberal had been postponed.
