Community agencies to distribute backpacks Thursday

USD 457 to host enrollment event at HGMS
Garden City Public Schools USD 457 will hold an enrollment event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, for parents to enroll their children for the 2025-26 school year. The event will take place at Horace Good Middle School, 1412 N. Main St.
Bookmobile continues community visits through July
The USD 457 Summer Books-on-the-Bus program (B.O.B.) will continue to visit the community through the month of July. The last scheduled visit for this year will be Friday, July 25.
USD 457 Virtual Academy accepting enrollment
The USD 457 Virtual Academy is currently taking enrollment for students in grades seventh through 12 and adults looking to complete their high school diploma.
USD 457’s Guerrero places at national bus driver competition
Garden City Public Schools USD 457 school bus driver, Jerry Guerrero, has demonstrated exceptional skill and professionalism by an 11th place finish in the highly competitive 51st edition of the School Bus Driver International Safety Competition (SBDISC). The event was held on June 28-29, in Austin, Texas.
