ESC to begin summer hours
The Garden City Public Schools USD 457 Educational Support Center, 1205 N. Fleming St., will be changing its days of operation during the summer. The center will be closed on Friday afternoons during the summer starting the week of June 2 and going to July 18.
USD 457 Bookmobile began Monday

Last day of school Thursday
The last day of school for the 2024-25 school year for Garden City Public Schools USD 457 is Thursday, May 22. This will be a full day of school for students with normal starting and ending times. School will be out for the summer break at the end of the school day.
USD 457 summer food program kickoff on Friday
The Garden City Public Schools USD 457 Summer Food Service program will run June 2 – June 26 to provide summertime meals to children and youth at various locations around the community.

USD 457 schools named national showcase schools
Jennie Wilson Elementary School and Buffalo Jones Elementary School recently received word that they were awarded the 2024-25 Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School award.
