Sports remain a popular extracurricular activity among modern students. Nearly six million students in the United States participated in high school sports during the 2021-22 school year, according to an analysis of National Federation of State High School Associations data.
The Garden City Community College athletic department has announced that 12 programs received a 3.0 grade point average or better during the 2024-25 school year, with 199 student athletes obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher, with 125 of them posting a 3.5 or better.
