Garden City Public Schools USD 457 will observe spring break March 17 – 21. School will not be in session during the break.
GREAT BEND – Fort Hays State University’s Kansas Wetlands Education Center (KWEC) will host various free daily hands-on activities each afternoon of Spring Break, March 17-21, allowing people to get out and explore the diversity of the wetlands.
As the days get warmer and the weather becomes less grey, we all hope spring is near. Although the official start of spring is not until the spring equinox, on the 20th of March, animals, plants, and people are starting to prepare for the warm breath of spring. Many students and teachers alike look forward to a chance to spend time outside without classes, and it just so happens that right around spring’s official start is the week of spring break.
The Finney County Public Library and the Lee Richardson Zoo are hosting activities during spring break during the week of March 17-21.
