HAYS - I am excited to share that Fort Hays State University (FHSU) is set to launch its Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) credential program, a new program created by our Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) unit.
HAYS - This summer, Fort Hays State University will embark on a much-anticipated renovation of its cadaver lab—an essential facility that has served the Department of Biological Sciences since the 1998-2000 renovation of Albertson Hall.
HAYS - As technology evolves at an unprecedented pace, higher education institutions find themselves at a crossroads—an exhilarating yet daunting moment where adaptation is essential. Fort Hays State University (FHSU) is at the forefront of this transition, where a commitment to understanding and employing generative artificial intelligence (AI) has led to innovative approaches that keep students competitive in a rapidly changing workforce.
HAYS - In a state where vast open spaces often mean a long journey to find help, Fort Hays State University is reshaping the mental healthcare landscape in rural Kansas. Fueled by state legislature funding and a vision for sustainable support, Our Advanced Education Program faculty are bridging the mental health services coverage gap through a cutting-edge telemental health certification program.
HAYS - You can usually find him holding court in Gross Memorial Coliseum and the Max Jones Fieldhouse at Fort Hays Tech | Northwest in Goodland and roaming the campus of Fort Hays Tech | North Central. He’s Victor E. Tiger, our beloved mascot, and right now, he is looking forward to his 25th birthday bash at the Tiger’s basketball game on Feb. 22.
HAYS - At Fort Hays State University (FHSU), a new generation of farmers is emerging, ready to take on the challenges of tomorrow. Joe Ferguson, a senior and a dedicated Kansas Army National Guard member, is a part of that new generation. He is a proud representative of his family’s multi-generational farm and an advocate for the sustainable agricultural practices that will secure a prosperous future for Kansas farming.
HAYS - The VIP Ambassador Program at Fort Hays State University, established by President Gerald Tomanek in 1982, empowers students to publicly represent their university while fostering a spirit of connection among these talented future leaders. Each year, a select group of 15-20 VIP Ambassadors participate in significant projects and events, gaining invaluable experiences along the way. Hazel Frans, Katie Ecord, and Noah Erichsen are members of our current VIP Ambassadors team, and each has had a compelling personal journey that I would like to share with the readers of this column.
