HAYS - When the Garden City Buffaloes’ boys’ basketball team headed home Thursday night after a 31-point road victory over rival Dodge City, GCHS head coach Luke Swedberg hoped that it would create momentum for another back-to-back road battle 24 hours later.

WICHITA - The Class 6A girls’ state wrestling championship is a week away in Overland Park, but for just a short time, Garden City High School can enjoy another win over rival and No. 1-ranked Dodge City.

Less than 24 hours after rolling over Western Athletic Conference for Great Bend, the Garden City High School girls’ basketball found itself back on the floor at The Garden in a non-conference contest against Class 3A Lakin on Saturday.

In a season that has been challenging in many ways, the Garden City Buffaloes’ boys’ basketball team faced perhaps their most challenging week on Friday and Saturday when tasked with facing Class 5A No. 4 Great Bend and then less than 24 hours hosting Class 3A No. 4 Lakin.

HAYS - Both the Garden City High School bowling teams headed home Thursday evening after taking care of Western Athletic Conference opponent Hays in the sixth league match of the season.
Garden City High School will hold a Financial Aid FAFSA Workshops for students and parents.
