GCHS volleyball rallies late to win 6A sub-state

Unbeaten Panthers too much for Buffaloes

Not long after the Garden City High School football team finished its loss to Western Athletic Conference champion Great Bend on Friday night (42-6), they learned their Week 9 KSHSAA Play-In game would be against a familiar for in the Dodge City Red Demons.It had only been a week earlier when the Buffaloes lost the coveted Hatchet to the Demons at Dodge City (40-14), so perhaps an opportunity to avenge that loss will be the right prescription for a Buffaloes team that has struggled all season.The Buffs and Red Demons will kick-off their rematch (not for the Hatchet) at 7 p.m.
