SENIOR SHOWCASE: Variety of activities, services available at the Senior Center

When you start your spring cleaning and you don’t know what to do with your used items? “Do Overs” Thrift Shop at the Senior Center will gladly take your gently used items. All proceeds made in the thrift shop will go towards building improvements. Drop items off at 907 N. 10th St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Please ask for Patti or Jessica.

FROM ZOO TO YOU: Watching out for and preventing invasive species

According to The North American Invasive Species Management Association (NAISMA), National Invasive Species Awareness Week (NISAW) is an international event to raise awareness about invasive species, the threat they can pose, and what can be done to prevent their spread. The week takes place during the last week of February, this year, running from Feb. 24 - 28.
