In an effort to reduce the number of pets that are brought to the Finney County Humane Society animal shelter throughout the Fourth of July celebrations, $10 microchipping is now available for both dogs and cats.
To address the animal overpopulation in the county, the Finney County Humane Society is offering spay and neuter vouchers to residents wanting to safeguard their pets’ health in 2025.
The Finney County Humane Society has joined forces with the local Petco sore and BOBSkechers to launch “Love Stories”, a campaign where adopters of animals from the FCHS shelter share their inspiring stories of how their adopted pets have transformed their lives for the better.”When people come in and find a pet they want to adopt, there is so much happiness on their faces,” Amanda Licona, shelter manager, said.
The Finney County Humane Society and Garden City’s Petco have teamed up for a Clear the Shelter event scheduled for 9 a.m.
