ASKING ERIC: After job loss comes shame and meddlesome advice

Dear Eric: I had a bad falling out from a very toxic job a few months ago. Since it ended, I’ve been dealing with feelings of shame and betrayal, but I’m doing what I can to clean the fallout from my brain. I guess it could be a coincidence, but it just seems odd. Is this something to worry about?
