Welcome December and “Hello” Finney County and area seniors. We are now requiring that you wear a mask to enter and while you are at the Senior Center, per Garden City and Finney County ordinances. While eating and drinking you may remove your mask. Please wear a mask, wash your hands frequently and maintain six feet social distancing whenever possible. This will improve your chances of avoiding COVID-19. Masks are required to ride the bus or to enter Transit Building. All bus rides are free. Our staff will also be wearing masks in public areas.

Medicare Open Enrollment continues through Dec. 7. This is the only time you can make changes to your Medicare elections. It is late in the open enrollment time period; go ahead and call Annette at 275-5566 to see if any appointment times are left with Dick or Donna.

On Wednesday evening, Dec. 2, join Sue Knight and area dancers to dance to the Moonshiners for the weekly dance at 7:30 p.m. Announcement: There is not going to be a Senior Association Dinner and meeting this Friday evening. We plan to resume that on Friday, Jan. 8, 2021.

You will be able to see a version of this column Senior Showcase on our website and on our Facebook page starting soon. We want everyone to know what’s happening at the Senior Center and Transit.
