Kayde Rietzke scored six touchdown Friday night, five rushing and one in the air, as the Wichita County Indians moved their record to 5-0 Friday night with a 58-8 dominating victory over Ness City at Leoti.
The Indians had 47 plays for 418 total yards while Ness City had 51 plays for 203 yards.
WCHS scored three touchdowns in the first quarter to seal the win.
Rietzke scored two touchdowns, on a 13-yards run and a 30-yards run. He had five on the night. Tristen Porter ran in the two-point conversion on the first one, and Jesse Gardner ran in the second conversion. The Wichita County defense also picked up a fumble and returned it 44 yards for a touchdown. Teagan Bishop ran in the two-point conversion for this touchdown. Wichita County led 24-0 after the first quarter.
In the second, Ness City got on the board as Danny Guzman through a 33-yard touchdown pass to Jackson Seib, Sieb ran in the two-point conversion. Rietzke added another touchdown run, this time seven-yards, before halftime. The two-point conversion failed.
Gardner got the scoring started for Wichita County in the third quarter with a 20-yard run touchdown. Bishop ran in the two-point conversion.
Rietzke scored his final two trips to the engine in the third, one on a 5-yard run and then throwing a two-yards pass into the end zone to Juan Mancillas. The two-point conversion failed on the first of the two touchdowns and the point after attempt kick on the second also failed.
On the night, Rietzke rushed for 206 yards on 19 carries, more than Ness City’s total offensive yards. He also was 9-of-13 passing for 97 yards. Gardner ran the ball 11 times for 94 yards, and Porter was the leading receiver for Wichita County, snagging three catches for 34 yards.
Wichita County will be on the road Friday at Meade.
