Enrollment for the 2019-20 Early Learning Four-year-olds (ELF) program is next week at Garfield Early Childhood Center.
Enrollment will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Children must have an approved application on file in order to enroll, and parents and guardians should pick up applications at Garfield beforehand.
To enroll, parents and guardians will need a photo ID and their child’s birth certificate, immunization record and proof of address. The fee is $21.
To be eligible for the program, children must be 4 years old before Aug. 31, and must meet one or more of the following criteria: qualify for free lunches, come from a single parent household, Department for Children and Families referral, parents lack a high school diploma/GED, child born to teen parents, developmentally or academically delayed based on assessments, non-English speaking and qualify for the migrant program.
