Fourth- to eighth-graders will have the chance to learn from a pro next week at a free basketball clinic at Horace Good Middle School led by former Women’s National Basketball Association player Chamique Holdsclaw.

The clinic will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the school and be followed by a 15-minute parent presentation. The clinic has room for 50 kids. Parent's can call HGMS at (620) 805-8100 to sign up their child.

Holdsclaw is a former professional basketball player in the WNBA who has played with the San Antonio Silver Stars, Los Angeles Sparks and Atlanta Dream. While on the University of Tennessee women's basketball team, she helped lead the Lady Vols to the NCAA's first-ever three consecutive women's national titles, UT's first ever undefeated season, two SEC regular season titles and three SEC tournament championships, and set an NCAA record for the most wins ever in a season.
