Participants in a Kansas Bikers Backing Our Blue wave to those gathered at Main and Fulton Streets to watch as the group as they turn west onto Fulton Street to begin the run. The run, with 117 motorcycles registered with many having a driver and passenger, traveled to Lakin, Ulysses, Hugoton and Sublette, then back to Garden City. At each town’s stop, the riders presented a blue-lined flag to the county’s sheriff. Proceeds from the event stay in the Kansas and go to the Kansas Concerns of Police Survivors, helping families of fallen officers. This was the fourth year for the local event.
