I watched the new Marshall/Moran TV ad with mixed feelings of amusement and incredulity. First, I was under the impression that Republications were pro-state rights and anti-big government. What do two Kansas Republication politicians have to do with the politics in other states?
Second, don't these two represent Kansas and Kansan's interests? Look at the ratings of Kansas in various categories, as rated in 2019 by US News and World Report: Health care, 33rd; Economy, 36th; Crime, 32nd; Fiscal stability, 35th (anyone for trickle-down economics?); Overall Health, 27th.
It would seem that two such dedicated politicians would be looking out for the interests of their constituents, not attempting to interfere with other states. This ad is a blatant attempt to draw attention away from other more important issues, such as voter suppression and election interference.
Please folks, keep informed on the issues and disregard the flack being thrown at the wall as a distraction.
