TEMPLE, Texas - Geraldine Anita (Farrar) McFadden, age 91, died in Temple, Texas, on Feb. 23, 2021. She was born on July 15, 1929 in Johnson City, KS, the daughter of Everett and Alice Farrar. Jerry, as she was known to most, received her Bachelor’s Degree and Masters Degree in Nursing Administration. While in Hutchinson, she met the love of her life, Charles McFadden and they were married in 1950. They later moved to Syracuse, KS. In the early 1960’s, Chuck and Jerry built The McFadden Funeral Home and operated it until 1979.
She is survived by, son, Chuck McFadden of Arnold, CA; daughters, Charrie Jenkins of Arkansas City, KS, and Jan White of Hays, KS; numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by, father, Everett Farrar; mother, Alice Farrar; spouse, Chuck McFadden; son, Scott McFadden; brother, Jay Farrar; sister, Bessie Parsons; great grandson, Colton Vaden.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held on March 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. (MST) at the Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse, KS. Reception to follow at the First United Methodist Church.
