Nancy E. Carr, 68, died on Feb. 7, 2021 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, KS, following a brief illness from Pancreatic cancer. She was born Dec. 2, 1952, in Garden City, KS, the daughter of Glen and Georgia (Caskey) Lederer. She earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989 from Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS, Nancy began her teaching career. She taught music at different schools in Garden City, KS. Nancy loved to spend her time playing and teaching piano, her music, sewing, riding horses, and her dogs.
On May 29, 1993, she married David Carr in Garden City, KS. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Kimberly and husband Jerrad Webb of Deerfield, KS, and Holli Ayala of Garden City, KS; two brothers, Larry Kent Lederer of Chicago, IL and Mark Lederer of American Canyon, CA; and six grandchildren, Brian Ayala, Nathan Ayala, Stephen Webb, Elizabeth Davenport, Jordan Webb, and Paige Webb. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to the Finney County Humane Society in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City. Condolences may be given at garnandfuneralhomes.com .
