MONTEZUMA - Leonard Leslie Koehn, 75, passed away Feb. 5, 2021 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS, after a long battle with muscular dystrophy. He was born on Feb. 23, 1945 in Montezuma, KS, the son of Edward B. and Josephine E. (Dutton) Koehn. Leonard was a lifetime resident of Montezuma. He was a graduate of the Montezuma High School class of 1963. After graduation, he went to work for the Montezuma Cooperative. On Jan. 21, 1973, he was united in marriage to Patricia Speakman in Dodge City, KS. They made their home on the farm, northwest of Montezuma, KS.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Pat of Montezuma, KS; three sons, Craig M. Koehn of Montezuma, KS, Lance Koehn of Lakeville, MN, and Kevin Koehn of Littleton, CO; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Gilbert Koehn of Hesston, KS, and Milton Koehn of Montezuma, KS; a sister, Maxine Grenard of La Junta, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Bernard, Myron, Wilton, and Clayton Koehn; two sisters, Veneta Silva and Alfreda Koehn.
Funeral service will be held at Morningside Community Church, Montezuma, KS, on Feb. 10, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Morningside Cemetery in Montezuma, KS.
