Carolyn Sue Murray, 77, died on Jan. 30, 2021 at her home in Andover, KS. She was born on Jan. 30, 1944 at Tipton, OK, the daughter of Olen Edd and Reta (Guinn) Davis. She married Richard “Dick” Murray on Dec. 22, 1979 at Lakin, KS. Carolyn graduated from Holcomb High School and the Cosmetology Program at Garden City Community College. She was the owner-operator of Carolyn’s Hair Corner in Garden City, KS.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Murray; children, Donnie Towns of Baldwin, KS, Michelle Munsch and Travis Towns both of Andover, KS, Nancy Johnson of Haysville, KS, and Debbie Walker of Ladson, SC; brother, Charles Davis of Lakin, KS; sister, Sammie Dart of Wichita, KS; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steven Davis; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Towns; and nephew, Shafer Dart.
Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City, KS. The service will be on Facebook Live on the Garnand Funeral Home facebook. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Carolyn Murray Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, with family present from 4 to 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. to service time Friday at Garnand Funeral Home.
