SCOTT CITY - R. Richard Kirk, age 82, died Jan. 31, 2021, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, KS. He was born on July 13, 1938, in Guymon, OK, the son of Roy Roscoe and Margueritte L. Fankhouser Kirk. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years and USD 466 as a bus driver for 10 years. On March 23, 1959, he married Wanda Smith in Scott City, KS.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Kirk of Scott City, KS; son, Roy Kirk of Leoti, KS; daughter, Renee Garcia of Borger, Texas; two brothers, Klifton Kirk of Melton, FL, Gale Kirk of Licking, MO; sister, Aleece Collamore of Waxahachie, Texas; five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melvin Kirk; sister, Rita Gingrich; and a granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 3, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, KS. Services will be streamed live on Facebook at Price and Sons Funeral Home page (www.facebook.com/priceandsons) starting at 10:25 a.m. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, KS. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Park Lane Nursing Home in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 553, Scott City, KS, 67871. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, KS.
