Nancy Ann Long, age 66, died Jan. 1, 2021 in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born July 23, 1954 in Dodge City, KS the daughter of Edward and Martha (Marquardt) Frank. Nancy Lived in Liberal, KS with her family where she attended Liberal schools. After the eighth grade, they moved to Garden City, KS, where Nancy attended high school and graduated from Garden City High School in 1972. On June 9, 1973, she married Randy Carroll in Garden City, KS. Randy died on June 19, 1999. Nancy later married Brian D. Long on May 5, 2012. They continued to live in Garden City until 2014. Since 2014, they have lived in both Garden City, KS, and Platte, SD. Nancy worked most of her life as a bookkeeper for various companies in Garden City. Nancy loved the outdoors, fishing, and going shopping with her daughter.
Survivors include her husband, Brian D. Long of the home; three children, Jason Carroll, Bradley and wife Kelly Carroll, and Jennifer Carroll all of Platte, SD; three step-children Tina M. and husband John Brouder of St. Peters, MO, Shelly Long of St. Peters, MO, and Tim and wife Tiffany Long of Garden City, KS; her mothe,r Martha Frank of Chandler, AZ; two brothers, Mike and wife Karen Frank of Chandler, AZ and Tim Frank of Ness City, KS; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Nancy is preceded in death by her first husband, Randy; her father, Edward Frank; and a daughter-in-law, Tracy Frank.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 22, 2021 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City, KS. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, KS. There will be no calling hours.
