Carlos R. Morales, 56, died Nov. 19, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born Feb. 22, 1964 in Pecos, Texas, the son of Victor and Guadalupe (Rodriquez) Morales. Carlos moved with his family to Garden City, KS, when he was a child. He attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School. Carlos served in the Army National Guard. He worked most of his career as a truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and also enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include his three children, Allison and husband Hugo Esquivel of Garden City, KS, Ryan Morales of Wichita, KS, and Adan Morales of Belmont, MI; five siblings Rosemary Calderon of Garden City, KS, Roy Morales of Aurora, CO, Sandra Duran of Garden City, KS, Isabel Sanchez of Garden City, KS, and Esmeralda Solorzano of Garden City, KS; and two grandchildren, Ezra Esquivel and Avery Esquivel. Carlos is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 11, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City, KS. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, KS, with military rites conducted by the Kansas Army National Guard Honor Guard. There will be no calling hours.
