SCOTT CITY - Norman Vance Keyse, age 84, died Dec. 5, 2020 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, KS. He was born on Aug. 26, 1936 in Scott County, KS, the son of Delmar and Iva Crist Keyes. He was a farmer and rancher. Norman was a Captain with the Kansas Army National Guard #161 Field Artillery Unit. On Aug. 18, 1957, he married Lois E. Graeff in Scott City, KS. She passed away on Dec. 31, 2007. On Aug. 25, 2012, he married Marvel Hopkins in Scott City, KS. She survives.
Survivors Include his wife, Marvel Hopkins-Keyse of Scott City, KS; two daughters, Amie Kendrick of Colby, KS, Kristi Schmitt of Scott City, KS; one step son, Luke Hopkins of Peterborough, NH; six grandchildren; three siblings, Janice Whitham of Leoti, KS, Donna Rudolph of Hillsborough, NC, and Clarence H. Keyse of Newnan, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of fifty years, Lois Keyse; and one infant brother.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 10, 2020 at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, KS. Services will be Live -Streamed on Price & Sons Funeral Home Facebook page starting at 1:55 p.m. Thursday. Memorials In Lieu Of Flowers may be made to the Scott County EMS or the Scott Community Foundation in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, KS. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, KS.
