Olivia Rose Franco, age 4, died November 25, 2020 at St. Catherine hospital in Garden City. She was born August 22, 2016 in North Pole, AK. Olivia moved with her family to Garden City when she was three months old, and she loved to spend her time playing with her best friend Azalee, singing, dancing, and classical rock music. She was also very proud that she was originally from Alaska.
Survivors include her mother Sara Franco; two brothers Felix Castaneda and Xavier Castaneda of Garden City; her grandparents Connie & John Chavez, Ellen Watkins, and Lupe Franco all of Garden City; her uncles Luke Chavez of Wichita, KS, Adam Mentzer of Topeka, KS, Alex Mentzer of Garden City, Alex Franco of Garden City, Jerry Chavez of Kansas City, KS, & Steve Watkins of Denver, CO; and her aunts Crystal Perez of Garden City, Stephanie Franco of Garden City, Amy Mentzer of Topeka, KS, Peggy Rincones of Garden City, Donna Chavez of Garden City, and Audrey Moon of Denver, CO. Olivia is preceded in death by her grandparents Angelita Chavez and Daniel Freach.
A private family service will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to Sara Franco to help with funeral expenses. Condolences may be given at garnandfuneralhomes.com.
