WICHITA - Raymond "Ray" Lee, age 64, passed away suddenly on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020. Ray was born April 11, 1956 in Dallas, Texas, the son of E. M. "Shorty" and Mary Lee. Ray was a 1974 graduate of Garden City High School and attended Garden City Community College, until being offered a position at Simmons Machine and Pump where he gained his machinist skills, knowledge, and career. This skill set is what promoted him to a career with Boeing Wichita as a machinist for 17 years.
During his time with Boeing, Ray met his future wife, Stacey Racette, in 1990 and they were united in marriage on Oct. 14, 2000. Ray eventually opted for a career change into management in 2004, then in 2005 he took a position with a sports apparel company in management sales. This sales experience led to an opportunity for a position with J & J Fence in 2008, where he worked until his health no longer allowed in 2017. These past three years have been challenging for Ray due to serious health issues, which he faced head on with minimal complaints. Ray had a love for family and friends, a passion for Raider's football, and a love for animals; especially dogs.
