LAKIN - Harold Ernest White, age 88, died at the Homestead Assisted Living in Garden City, KS. He was born on Feb. 9, 1932 in Lakin, KS, the son of Earnest and Elizabeth Smartt White. Harold, attended Kansas State University for a semester before joining the United States Army. He worked as a farmer and rancher. On July 11, 1954, he married Thelma F. Stout in Lakin KS. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2016.
Survivors include, two sons William White of Lakin, KS, David White of Lakin, KS, two grandsons and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, one sister, Maxine Campbell.
Visitation will be on Nov. 12, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, KS, and from 4-8 p.m. at the Lakin Presbyterian Church in Lakin, KS. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Lakin, Kansas on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020 at 10:30 am. Interment will be at the Lakin Cemetery in Lakin, KS. Memorials are suggested to the Homestead Assisted Living, Alzheimers Association, or the First Presbyterian Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846.
