Marlan D. Wilson, 79, died on October 26, 2020 at his home in Garden City, KS. He was born on Feb. 8, 1941 at Breckenridge, MN, the son of George Cooper & Eleanor Bernice (Patterson) Wilson. He married Ann M. Pearson on Nov. 6, 1989 at Enid, OK.
Marlan attended ND State University for two years. He served in the United States Army for two years and was stationed in Germany for Army Intelligence. He spent his working life as a Highway Engineer for Popejoy Construction in Ulysses and Enid and then for Richie Paving in Wichita, KS. He moved to Garden City, KS. after retiring.
He is survived by his children, Nancy Norwood of Fargo, ND, Michael Wilson of Mankato, MN, Penny Ann Nichols of Garden City, KS, Stacey Keele of Missoula, MT and Richard Keele of Holland, Texas; sister, Susan Wilson Cowan of Fiddletown, CA, half sister, Carol Wilson of Shepherd, MT; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lois Wilson Isaak, and half brother, George C. Wilson.
Celebration Of Life service will be at 5:30 PM Saturday at Elks Lodge # 1404 in Garden City, KS. Burial will be at Standing Rock Cemetery in Fort Ransom, ND. Memorials are suggested to Elks Lodge # 1404 in care of Garnand Funeral Home. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com
