LEOTI - Pearl J. Hunt, age 84, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, KS. She was born on Oct. 20, 1935 in Macon, Ill., the daughter of Charlie Lear and Gertrude Inez Keen Sadler. A resident of WIchita County, KS since 1955, moving from Dighton, KS, she was a farm wife.
On Nov. 7, 1953 she married Bertys Hunt in Nottoway County, VA. He passed away on Nov. 27, 2018 in Garden City, KS.
Survivors include her one daughter, Marsha and Randy Heronemus of Leoti, KS; three sons, Bret Hunt of Leoti, KS, Bart Hunt of Leoti, KS, Bill and Gail Hunt of Marienthal, KS; one brother, Earl Sadler of Macon, Ill.; five sisters, Margie Son of Great Bend, KS, Helen Bruner of Manter, KS, Betty Fulmer of Shields, KS, Reba White of Scott City, KS, Virginia Kadyk of St. Louis, MO; one brother in law, Bill Hunt of Scott City, KS, eight grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her parents, husband, and one sister, Marilyn Batterton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lydia Methodist Church in Lydia, KS., at a later date and time. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Leoti EMS, Wichita County Amusement Association or the Lydia Methodist Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes. Inurnment will be in the Lydia Cemetery. There will be no calling times.
