SUBLETTE - Phyllis Bailey, 90, died Aug. 20, 2020, after a long illness. She was born in 1930 to Boyd and Julia Roderick. She obtained her master’s degree from Oklahoma State University. After marrying James Bailey in 1950, they soon settled in Sublette, KS., for the remainder of their lives, teaching at the high school.
She is survived by her sister Margaret Nelson, brother, Elbert Roderick, two daughters, Susan Westerfield, and Sandra Wiswell. five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bryce Roderick and Myron Roderick, husband Jim Bailey, and grandson Charlie.
