DIGHTON - Charles Daniel Norman, age 63, of Dighton, KS, died July 13, 2020, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS, he was born January 11, 1958, in Lindsborg, KS, the son of Rev. Merlin F. and Helen Barber Norman. Charles was raised in Marquette, Lincoln, Sharon Springs, Ness City, and graduated from High School in Minneapolis, KS. He attended Washburn University, the University of NM, and was a graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina, KS.
Charles had a lot of passion for disabled adults and held many positions taking care of them. He loved holidays, especially Christmas, wanting to open presents upon awaking. He was a very generous person and gave a tremendous amount of thought to the gifts he gave his family members and never forgetting a birthday - especially his. Charles loved spending time with his nephews and nieces when they came to visit. And singing - what a wonderful voice he had. During his many travels, Charles enjoyed meeting new people and made many friends. Charles was one of the kindest persons you would ever meet and enjoyed visiting - especially over a cup of coffee.
Charles was proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents, Rev. Charles and Velma Norman and Ruthburn and Alpha Barber. Charles is survived by his older siblings, brother Merlin Norman of Albuquerque, NM, sisters Helen (Terry) Dobbs of Goodland, KS and Zoa Norman of Loomis, CA, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
