After earning different levels/degrees of achievement with the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), Irene earned the title of Life Master from this organization. In recent years of social restriction she took up playing bridge online and enjoyed playing against some of the toughest competitors world-wide.

Irene had sincere compassion for animals and loved her rescue dog, Maggie, who will live her life out with her grandson and his family.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Bryant-Wells and husband JR of Garden City; grandchildren, Roman Wells and wife Jessie of Garden City, Emily Burns and husband Shane of Garden City, and Boone Wells and wife Brittni of Salina; and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bryant and her parents, Vladimir and Erna Murmuraki.

Irene enjoyed having coffee with friends. Her daughter, Barb, will host a coffee in her honor. Irene's family respected her wish by donating her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center's Willed Body Program.
