DIGHTON - Delmer Dunham, of Colorado Springs, CO, died May 1, 2020 at his home. He was 84. Delmer Was Born Jan. 31, 1936, the son of Floyd and Addie May Dunham. He married Ruby (Simmons) Dunham, on May 3, 1964.
Delmer is survived by his wife, two sons Mike and wife Jill Dunham, of Kansas City and Mark and wife Gina Dunham, of Elbert, CO; two sisters Beatrice Carney, of Kansas City, KS and Velma Johnson, of Waco, TX; four granddaughters; Caya, Isabelle, Sadie and Dasiy, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard and Danny Dunham, and one sister, Patty Richardson.
An Army veteran, Delmer’s life was given to serve his community. He was active in the Gideons and his church and was active in Boy Scouts as well, also giving back to his community through community service. He was an engineer for the Kansas Department of Transportation for 57 years. He was a graduate of Kansas State University.
The family asks that memorials sent in the form of donations to the Gideons and no services are currently planned.
