Miranda Rose Lara

SCOTT CITY - Miranda Rose Lara, age 32, died June 13, 2020 at her home in Scott City, KS. She was born on October 13, 1987 in Scott City, the daughter of Robert Baxter and Pamela Gimler Appel. A lifetime resident of Scott City, she was a registered nurse at the Wichita County LTC Health Center in Leoti, KS.

On May 20, 2006 she married John Lara in Scott City.

Survivors include her husband, John Lara of Scott City, one daughter, Maci Lara of Scott City, mother, Pamela Appel of Scott City, one brother, Joel Appel of Scott City, grandparents, Leon & Hildagard Gimler of Parsons, KS.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Baxter Appel, one brother, Jacob Appel, grandparents, Robert & Thelma Appel.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on June 19, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. Burial will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City. Memorials in Lieu Of Flowers may be given to the Maci Lara Education Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
