Alberta Faye Mouser
Alberta Faye Mouser, 86, died April 21, 2020 at The Ranch House in Garden City. She was born December 10, 1933 in Hooker, OK the daughter of Clarence & Nellie (Loewen) Fast.
Alberta grew up on the family farm near Adams, OK. She attended Adams schools. On June 2, 1952, she married Cleo C. Mouser in Raton, NM. They moved to Garden City in 1972. A homemaker, Alberta also took care of the elderly. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Garden City and the Royal Neighbors. She enjoyed her Bible Study group, volunteer work, arts and crafts, visiting with people, and she had a love for Yorkie dogs especially “Tinkerbell” & “Precious.”
Survivors include three sons Bill Mouser & wife Cheryl of Salina, KS, Dallas Mouser & wife Karen Griffin-Mouser of Garden City, and Keith Mouser & wife Deb of Windsor, VT; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Alberta is preceded in death by her husband Cleo who died on May 26, 2002. She is also preceded in death by her parents; a brother Leroy Fast; and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on April 24, 2020 via Facebook Live on the Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will take place at Valley View Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City, KS. The family suggests memorials given to the First United Methodist Church or to Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo, both in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be given at garnandfuneralhomes.com.
