DIGHTON - Marvin Gene Pinkston, age 87, died March 5, 2020 at Legend at Regent Park in Wichita. He was born on June 22, 1932 at Healy the son of Lawson Harry & Clara Mae Schwindt Pinkston. He married Wanda Jean Foshee on September 19, 1953 at San Francisco, CA. Marvin graduated from Dighton High School in 1950. He served in the United States Marine Corp and after his discharge he returned to Dighton and was a lifelong Farmer-Stockman.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Pinkston, two daughters, Sherrie Larren Dennis of Eureka, Terri Steve Kingsley of Sedgwick, son, Gary LaRae Pinkston of Mitchellville, IA, sister, Bonnie Larry Evans of Gove, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Juanita Overfield.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Dighton. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery with military honors by United States Marine Corp Honor Guard and American Legion Post # 190 Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to United Methodist Church or American Legion Post #190 Honor Guard in care of Boomhower Funeral Home.
