LIBERAL — Gerald “Jerry” Lee Coyle, 81, of Turpin, Okla., died Oct. 26, 2019, near Ulysses. He was born Oct. 19, 1938, in Taloga, Okla., to Andrew and Arzella Kolby Coyle.
He went to Fairview High School and later earned his GED, which he was very proud of. On June 10, 1967, Jerry married Wilma Ann Houska in Fairview, Okla. She died May 12, 2009. Jerry formed WAC (Wilma Ann Coyle) Contract Pumping, a Gas and Oil Exploration Company. He was very proud to still be working.
He is survived by his son, Darren Coyle of Liberal; daughter, Jerri Gilcrease of Garden City; brother, Tommy Coyle of Kiowa, Kan.; sisters, Deloris Diggs of Cleo Springs, Okla., Lavera Howerton of Dripping Springs, Texas, and Barbara Koch of Enid, Okla.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Kevin; and a sister, Carol Osborn.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday Nov. 4 at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel. There will be no viewing as the casket will be closed.
