JOHNSON CITY — Gregoria Sanchez-Solis, 71, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was born May 9, 1948, in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Sixto and Genoveva (Solis) Sanchez.
Gregoria grew up in Mexico. She married Mario Olivas and they moved to Johnson City. Gregoria was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her family.
She is survived by her husband, Mario; children, Ramon Montoya of Liberal, Bertha Alicia Montoya of Forgan, Okla., Margarita Morales of Forgan, Okla., Diego Montoya of Johnson City, Abundio Montoya Jr. of Johnson City, Ubaldo Montoya of Johnson City and Sandra Olivas of Syracuse; brother, Jose E. Marin of Seattle; sister, Guadalupe Torres of Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Gregoria was preceded in death by her parents and son, Daniel Montoya-Sanchez.
Vigil and rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson City. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson City with burial following at the Stanton County Cemetery.
