SYRACUSE — Rebecca “Becky” Ruth (Barnett) Guldner, 92, died at the Greeley County Hospital in Tribune on Sept. 28, 2019, at the age of 91. She was born on Dec. 25, 1927, in Syracuse to William McKinley Barnett and Mary Bella (Calkin) Barnett.
Becky attended Emporia State University. On Aug. 7, 1946, she married Harold William Guldner and they made their home in Syracuse. To this union three children were born: Doug, Valory and David. Becky worked part time at the Hamilton County Library, but the majority of her life she was a farm wife and helped with the farming operation and raised her children.
Becky is survived by her son, Douglas Guldner of Syracuse; daughter, Valory Kershner of Manhattan, Kan.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold William Guldner; son, David Kin Guldner; brother, Jackson Barnett; and sister, Zenaide (Barnett) Schneider.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Oct. 3 at the First United Methodist Church in Syracuse. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to email@example.com.
