Floyd “Randy” Long, 55, died Saturday, July 13, 2019, at home in Garden City.
Randy was born Aug. 27, 1963, in Dexter, Mo., to Harmon and Freda (Cox) Long.
Randy lived primarily in Garden City. He married Karan Frey on Jan. 4, 1992, at Pleasant Prairie Church of God in Satanta. He most recently worked as a truck driver for Brimm Trucking, hauling rock and sand.
He is survived by his wife, Karan Long of the home; children, Tonya Claussen, Jeremy Long, Randal Long; mother, Freda Long; and brother, Scott Long.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harmon Long, and brother, Bruce Long.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 19 at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Garden City. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Emily Graham and Pastor Norman Heironimus will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, Illinois or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, both in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
