JOHNSON — Robert R. Edmisson, 98, died June 20, 2019, at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson. He was born May 16, 1921, in Englewood to George I. Edmisson and Maude E. Drake Edmisson.

He married Beulah M. Salmans on March 30, 1947, in Johnson.

Bob lived most of his 98 years in Johnson and he and Beulah worked side by side selling Farm Bureau Insurance in the town for 38 years. He was very civic-minded, serving on the city council for over 40 years. A veteran Of World War II, he served in the U. S. Army Air Corps in England.

He is survived by one son, Delmar Edmisson of Blackwell, Okla.; one daughter, Vicki Stogsdill of Prosper, Texas; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, six siblings and one great-grandson, Corbin Dean Edmisson.

Celebration of life service was at 10 a.m. on Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson. Interment followed at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson.

Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. with family members present on Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.
