Wayne O. Kendall, 84, died June 1, 2019, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, Mo.

Wayne was born in his aunt’s house in Ingalls to the late John O. and Hester L. Kendall, and spent most of his life in Ingalls. In his youth, he enjoyed hunting and trapping.

After graduating from Ingalls High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in France. After his time in the military, he returned to Ingalls to farm and married Frances R. Mills, his wife for the last 58 years. He enjoyed serving as an adult leader for Boy Scouts while his two sons participated in scouting.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Frances (Mills) Kendall, of Independence, Mo.; sons, Calin Kendall and wife, Gloria, and Curtis Kendall and wife, Tracy; grandson John Kendall; and step-grandsons David West and Steve West.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Cimarron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the National Hospice Foundation, www.nationalhospicefoundation.org, your local hospice provider, or a veterans organization.
