Gail Lynn Custine, 65, died May 24, 2019, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays.
She was born March 20, 1954, in Hill City to Ivan and Gladys (King) Custine.
Gail grew up in Bogue, Kan., where she attended schools and graduated from high school. After high school, she moved to Hill City. She later moved to Deerfield in 1994 and recently moved to Garden City. A homemaker, Gail was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holcomb and volunteered at the American Red Cross. She enjoyed art, sewing, quilting, her church and church activities and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Chris Custine and wife, Cindy, of Guam, Nicole Custine, of Garden City, and Josh Barr and wife, Alicia, of Holcomb; brother, Sherm Jones, of Bogue; sisters, Marilyn Custine, of Hays, and Avis Hamel, of Bogue; and 10 grandchildren.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Jones; and sisters, Delores Small and LaVonne Jones.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Holcomb. A private family interment will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
