TRIBUNE — Lloyd Eugene Brown, 93, died Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Greeley County Long Term Care in Tribune.

He was born Sept. 2, 1925, on the family homestead in Wichita County to Charles Everett Brown and Addie Ellen (Sides) Brown.

He graduated in 1943 from Wichita County High School in Leoti. He served in the 77th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

On Aug. 28, 1949, he married Jeanne Louise Clark in Battle Creek, Mich. They farmed in Wallace County until early 2016, when he retired and they moved to Tribune.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harold Brown, Ervin Brown and Elvin Brown; and a sister, Carol Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Louise Brown, of Tribune; three sons, David Brown, of Wallace County, Scott Brown, of Tribune, and Jeremy Brown, of Shawnee; one daughter, Pamela Forbes, of Ocala, Fla.; one brother, Charles Brown, of Auburn, Wash.; one sister, Ella Johanson, of Florence, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the West Bethany Free Methodist Church, 1698 N. County Road 3, Leoti. Burial will follow at the West Bethany Cemetery in rural Greeley County.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to service time Saturday.
