Jane Ann Murray, 68, died Saturday, May 18, 2019, at the Flint Hills Care Center in Emporia.

She was born May 16, 1951, in Great Bend to Clifton and June (Kline) Hull.

She moved with her family to Haskell County as a child. She graduated from Satanta High School in 1970. After high school, she moved to Garden City, where she has lived since.

She began working as an operator for Southwestern Bell before becoming a greeter at Walmart and Sam’s Club.

On March 3, 1975, she married Richard E. “Rick” Murray in Haskell County.

She was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints and the Relief Society. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and helping the Missionaries at the church.

Survivors include two sons, Erin Murray of Phoenix, and Ian Murray and wife Elizabeth of Eagle River, Alaska; four siblings, Herb Hull of Blue Springs, Mo., Jill Jacobs of Emporia, Tom Hull of Blue Springs, and Lisa Ochs of Dennison, Texas; and a grandson, Colton Murray of Eagle River.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died on Oct. 27, 1995. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Jeff Hull.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints in Garden City. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
