Preston Edward Miller, 70, died Wednesday, April 10, 2019, in Wichita.
He was born Nov. 11, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo., to Charles and Dorothy Miller.
He graduated from Cameron (Mo.) High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged on June 1, 1976.
Preston graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He worked for the Kansas Department of Corrections as a parole officer, and after retirement, served as a substitute teacher for Garden City USD 457.
He is survived by a brother, Bruce Miller, of Wichita.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery, Montezuma. Military honors will be provided by KSARNG Military Honor Guard and the American Legion.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
