PIERCEVILLE — Ronald E. Mott, 98, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
He was born Dec. 2, 1920, in Finney County to Charles and Pearl (Railsback) Mott.
He has been a lifetime Finney County and Pierceville resident.
On April 27, 1952, he married Eva L. Burgin in Hutchinson.
A lifetime farmer and rancher, he was a member of the Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed his work on the farm, raising cows and calves and visiting and ministering to people.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandy Mott of Pierceville, Vicki and husband Michael Hunter of Garden City, and Rhonda Mott of Garden City; a son-in-law, Bob Wasmuth of Cimarron; a brother, Melvin Mott of Garden City; two grandsons, Justin and wife Valerie Wasmuth and Tyler and wife Tosha Wasmuth; and six great-grandchidlren, Delaney Wasmuth, Gavin Wasmuth, Liran Wasmuth, Hudson Wasmuth, Connor Wasmuth, and Magnuson Wasmuth.
He was preceded in death by his wife, who died on June 1, 2014. He also was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Edwin Mott; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Pierceville Federated Church in Pierceville. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City.
