MANTER — Clark Huddleston, 84, of Tuttle, Okla., died Thursday, April 25, 2019, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.

He was born March 2, 1935, on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation near Martin, S.D., to Delmar Lyman and Lucille Lou (Labuff) Huddleston.

He married Ruth Schaffer on May 12, 1962, in Miami, Okla. He worked mainly in the agriculture industry, and also as a truck driver. His family moved to Manter in the early 1980s.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth of the home; son, Alonzo Huddleston of Yukon, Okla.; daughter, Kelly McCarter of Blanchard, Okla.; stepsons, Gene Howes of Sioux City, Iowa, and Philip Howes of Sac City, Iowa; brother, Ivan Foster of Ponca City, Okla.; sisters, Pat Oden of Enid, Okla., and Alice Clevenger of Kansas City, Kan.; three grandsons; two stepgranddaughters; one great-grandson; and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, Joe Howes; and a sister, Lila Dahle.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church in Johnson City. Interment will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson City.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church.
