Charles Willard Cobb, 79, died Feb. 26, 2019, at his home in Coolidge.

He was born on Dec. 13, 1939, in Dodge City to Willard Jennings Cobb and Rosallie Josephine (Frey) Cobb.

Charles married Linda Bartholomew on August 25, 1961 in Dodge City.

Charles graduated from Dodge City Junior College and spent most of his life as a farmer, pursuing his love for working the land, growing crops and raising animals before semi-retiring.

He is survived by one son, Carson Cobb of Greensburg; five daughters, Yavonne Hinton of Brighton, Colo., Linette Jager of Colorado Springs, Colo., Melissa Kirchgestner of Emporia, Justina Zeman of Park Falls, Wis., and Marcella Berndt of Pueblo, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn Jackson.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 22 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.
