SATANTA — Gene Paul DuBois, 87, died March 1, 2019, in Wichita.
He was born October 21, 1931, in Great Bend to Clinton and Thelma (Krause) DuBois.
He married Betty Anslinger on November 1, 1965, in Clayton, N.M.
He graduated from Great Bend High School, served in the Korean War and enjoyed a long career as an over-the-road truck driver, logging thousands of miles hauling cattle, pigs, fertilizer, milk and whatever else was asked of him.
He is survived by his wife, Betty DuBois of Satanta; brother, Don DuBois of Norton; sons, Craig DuBois of Wichita and Rick DuBois of Bridgeport, Neb.; daughters, Kaci Pickens of Enid, Okla., Paula Sosa of Hugoton and Jeannetta Adamson of Pampa, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores Coffee; daughter, Jeana Schuster; and sister, Linda Stringer.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 22 at Dudley Township Cemetery in Satanta.
